Yeah a few. A little handgun, a 12 gauge shotgun and a 22 rifle. The rifle was my favorite.

The shotgun wrecked my shoulder I was not prepared for the kickback.

I had a scar across my forehead from scope-checking myself for a while from firing a hunting rifle.

I took three shots, second one I fucked up on.

Hit the target at 750 yards on the third shot with blood pouring down my face, though.

The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions loud like a bomb gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.

Yeah a few when I was in the army, M16, M203, M249, 9mm pistol.

Really have to disconnect from yourself in combat though, can't think about it when you squeeze the trigger and then watch the other person fall down.

I grew up in a rural area where it was okay to shoot in many places if you followed the rules. I learned how to fire shotguns and small caliber rifles and pretty much worked my way up to pistols and stuff. I didnt learn to shoot a pistol until I was an adult, though. Ive also fired something similar to a Mac10 (maybe it was called MP or something)? Idk, that wasnt mine and it really was the only gun that ever made me uncomfortable.
