Because I read that (gameplay mechanics spoiler) people can actually recognize your outfit as well if you always wear the same one all the time, so you should have a separate outfit for committing crimes

But no, I'm talking about how if you bump into someone and they attack you, your only options are either run far away on your horse so they can't follow you or else kill them and get a bounty.
Same thing if you get shot at and you shoot back and kill, there can be a witness and you get a bounty

They just need to fix the wanted/bounty system. In terms of both the very inconsistently effective mask (different clothes was debunked on Reddit) and the law divebombing you for self defense. If I'm in the middle of town and someone from the rival gang starts a brawl that I finish, sorry, I think it's idiotic that the law goes after me.

You are trying to play the game in a different way than it is designed. It's not an rpg about maxing stats and moving fast, it's supposed to be slow and atmospheric.

I had a similar experience but was eventually grateful that the mechanics and design railroaded me into a playstyle that makes for the most fun experience.

don't the cheats disable saving or something?

plus, then there's the slow animations. if i'm trying to loot a house and in a time crunch why does arthur take so damn long to grab things? plus if something's on the other side of the table i gotta maneuver arthur around to the other side to grab it instead of just reaching across the table like a normal person would.

movement is a pain as well, in third person. if they could just take most of the first person controls and slap them into third person it would actually not be terrible. rockstar is yet again not using the analog controls like they should

a lot of the systems are confusing since the tutorials are either incorrect or too vague. why have a mission in the intro to feed your camp by hunting if in the actual game hunting isn't how you do it?

there's people on the RDR2 ps4 board that are wondering how much arthur needs to eat to not be underweight and apparently it's a ton of food. like almost 100 items of food. why have that hidden away in a sub-menu of a sub-menu instead of tying it to the health/stamina cores?

just did a story mission that put an $85 bounty on me. yeah, very good design when it's one of the first missions where you might have $200 if you're not buying anything. way to forcibly take away a player's money just because he actually wanted to progress the story. surely this won't drive people to look crap up online so they don't have to deal with it anymore

haven't actually been doing any pelt hunting but that stuff is also too vague. for one, the game only gives you a hint of the weapon to use, like a rifle. but if you use the wrong rifle, you can't get a pristine pelt, and pristine pelts are the only things worth getting. then, if you actually do use the right weapon, and you hit the target exactly where you should, it's up to RNG to grant you a pristine pelt. not really the right way to handle it. should be you need more non-pristine pelts in order to make up for it not being in perfect condition

Their business practises have become greedy and atrocious, but their games are still some of the highest quality content out there. The graphics is phenomenal, the VA in RDR2 is one of the best in gaming and TLOU/Uncharted level, while dishing out gameplay and open world content of games like Witcher and Skyrim.

they should break the "realism" and don't have missions that give you a bounty. shit is mad annoying. did a mission that got me a 300 dollar bounty. did a train robbing mission that got me 200 bucks then gave me a 50 dollar bounty. bleh.

this is my problem

rockstar was at their most enjoyable to me when they weren't taking themselves so seriously. telling simple stories with its world-building built on satire. more importantly, these games were fun. not so wrapped up in realism. the worlds were also properly sized.

this is something that some developers have still yet to realize, making your worlds bigger and bigger doesn't mean shit if there's nothing of worth in them. vice city and san andreas' maps look small from a bird's eye, but they don't feel that way in-game because the world is so compact and full of worthwhile content. the more you stretch something out the more barren it is going to feel. GTA V's world is gigantic, but it's one the emptiest open worlds I have ever seen in a game.

they have now become a wannabe naughty dog, which I consider to be a bad thing for any developer, but i'll at least give ND credit, their writers are far better than any of rockstar's or really any of their imitators. these developers are so obsessed with being taken seriously as writers and storytellers that they're willing to compromise enjoyable gameplay and mechanics.

These are all the same issues I have with the game. Honestly, it's not a bad game, but it's really fighting me every step of the way and I already know I won't love it anywhere near as much as the original. That game had the system close to perfect.

The hotel in Valentine does it. You pay at the front desk and go to the tub in the back. I haven't reached other towns yet.

You can pay extra for a girl to bathe you there as well. Which seemed to be a waste of money unless you like cleavage lol.
