Last night, I had a dream where I accepted a contract job to do some network support for some large company. Only they didn't tell me what I was supposed to be doing, where I was supposed to go, so I needed to connect, etc.

I'm thinking, "why did I accept this job with so few details?"

I called them back in my dream and never got any of the details I needed. I ended up calling them over and over, and went to the recruiting company's office to demand these details. I still wasn't getting anywhere, so I started calling them repeatedly while I was in the office.

Someone finally came from some back office to give me the info I was asking for. For some reason, we ended up taking a tour of what my subconscious thinks one of the local high schools in Austin looks like... Wtf... I left feeling satisfied in that moment, but then realized I still didn't have any of the info I needed. The job was supposed to be the next day and I still had no idea what I was supposed to do.

Then I actually woke up thinking I had a bunch of crap to do. It's Sunday. I never took any sort of job. I don't have any such work to do.

I hate these kinds of dreams so much

Those kind seem frustrating but in a funny way. I've had dreams where my mom dies or, if I recently split with an SO, dreams where we got back together. Waking up and feeling sad and mourning my mom's death in a dream really blows, or waking up feeling like things are fine between me and an ex before it crashes down on me again that we're done.

The closer we get to halloween the more likely demonic spirits will infest your brain glands and torment you with work related dreams. I recommend surrounding your pillow with salt and sleeping fully clothed as to not tempt the succubus.

Realistic dreams where you get/find a realistic amount of money in a believable situation.

Then you wake up and check your pockets to find all the nothing.

The realistic dreams where some kind of loss happens and then you wake up feeling extremely relieved...so many mixed emotions.

I've been stressed and overworked at work so I had this dream I was about to get fired after cheating on a test at the office. When I woke up I had to remind myself it was just a dream because tests at the office aren't a thing.

I used to have the dreams/nightmares of missing tests in school all the time. They've apparently matured into taking tests at work now.

Where your pet dies and has to spend the morning either enjoying or tolerating you petting/holding it for an extended period.

Nah it wasn't even that. We had a falling out many years ago and in the dream we were getting caught up on her life (it was... a bit fantastical though), and I knew in the dream she was taking advantage of me to help herself out but I didn't care because I still had feelings for her.

Do you also move in slow motion during the fight?

No, it's normal movement speed, I just seem to have the punching power of a kitten. I'm usually winning the fight, too so it's weird.
