I'm happy for my boy Afro making it to the top 5. Still think he should have won.

This was an interesting Save That, as a lot of the stronger picks ended up eliminated early. With, honestly, a very unexpected Top 5. Was a fun, bizarre ride.

As far as my next Save That, I would like to hear some feedback on my current ideas.

Spin offs of Band/Musician with: Save That Cover Song and Save That Rapper. Not sure if Cover Song would be popular enough though.

I retired the Top 20 of the first one, so that we'd have a different contest this time around. So Joseph and Captain Falcon were out. However, I think I won't do that again, and think of another way to get new faces without banning old ones.

Killua was still fair game to get in, but wasn't even nominated.

My picks did a lot worse this year than last, with Mitsuko toping them all at 25th. I wish Shampoo and Lil' Slugger did better though. They were robbed, and should have at least been in the Top 50. Great contest. I hope the noms I already have picked out for next year do better than this years bunch. But I won't hold my breath.

I can't be upset about the outcome. While I'm mildly surprised that it was Kuwabara out of the team that went all the way, Yu Yu Hakusho is a classic and a pretty popular series, so seeing it well-represented isn't a big shock. Congrats to Kuwabara, Team Urameshi, the series, and its fans on the win.

Seeing those three, Fate, Kyoko, and Sakura all place in the top 25 made me very proud of the magical girl genre. None of them individually placed as high as Nanoha's runner-up finish from last year, but still, it was a great showing overall. Another awesome thing to see was Accelerator riding the Index 3 hype, plus the announcement of Railgun 3 and his own spin-off, all the way to a runner-up finish. Following that performance and Index 3 airing now, I wonder how Touma would do in next year's contest if he got nominated?

And finally, I added Hanayamata to my plan-to-watch list thanks to Yaya's stunning underdog performance. All in all, a great contest.

Hot damn, I did not expect Kawabara to win this when I nominated him, but I'm extremely happy. Team Urameshi did damn good for themselves.

I think this is only the second time one of my top picks has won, the first being Gambit in the Marvel save that.

As for future ones, the general save that's like save that assassin seem fun, I'm for them. There'd be a wide variety of different characters given the range that that covers, so it could be a lot of fun. Save That Swordsman would be a good one too if you're taking suggestions.

And going off of what Kaja said last topic. Yeah, I'm thinking of doing Save That Horror character next once Sitcom (finally) ends. It's between that and Save That Video Game unless there's a big push for something else.

Yeah, I think they have a pretty broad range, and would be pretty cool. Enough range that a wide variety of characters could be entered, and big enough that we could get a large playerbase.

Yeah, Band has a lot of opening for spin offs, but I'm leaning to Rappers because Band was really dominated by rock bands, and the few rappers we had didn't do very well, so I'd like to see Rappers get some love.

I also really think Cover Song would be really cool, because there are a ton of really good Cover Songs out there. I just worry that Cover Song is too specific to pull players in.

With these vague categories like Assassins, I imagine you could be pretty creative with who counts or not.

You can bet your ass if we do Assassins I'm nominating Sparky Sparky Boom Man/Combustion Man from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I love that literally every other member of the main 4 in Yu Yu Hakusho are basically "enemies turned allies" to Yusuke, and they're all great.

Yeah, that seemed to be really big for this one, a lot of people dropped the second their fav got out, and instead of consolidating to other ones like it usually goes with the Character based ones, people just ditched entirely.

RIP, It was still a fun one though, I'm just ready to move forward.
