I've been here since 2007.

I legitimately wanted to stop coming here in February 2016, I remember the month because I was talking to my IRL friend about it. A few months later they introduced community boards and I got my own board during the beta, so now I can't just really leave.

This account is 13 years old (been on CE for less than 10 probably), but I've been using the site for around 20. I initially came for Pokemon Red, and for cheats and guides generally.

I'd been using the shitty GameWinners, then someone told me about GameFAQs, and I haven't looked back since. gamesages was pretty cool around that time too.

As for why I'm still on CE, it's habit mostly. For the site generally, I still like to look up guides and other info for games.

I'm remembering I made an account here earlier than this one, but I couldn't log into it for some reason. Also, I wasn't allowed to make another account. I gave up on an account and just browsed the walkthroughs, until I was inspired to eventually try again with this account 10 years ago.

It's just a deeply ingrained habit now to read the boards to learn new info, or watch people argue about nonsense.

I've been here 16 years. I used to also be on Shoutweb back when that was a thing

I tried Reddit and didn't really care for the format. It's great for porn, not so great for just general bullshitting and conversations IMO. GF isn't perfect either but I'm at least comfortable with it
