If I'm feeling under the weather, it makes the pain of it much less noticeable and allows me to conduct my day as I normally would (as long as that doesn't require driving).

Tobacco companies lobbied to make it illegal and then ran decades long anti weed campaigns to devilize it while also paying politicians to be publicly anti weed.

Same reason why fat is the devil and big sugar is the reason why *takes a sip of my Coca-Cola Cherry*

It can help loosen anxious people up, or do the opposite. Everybody has their reason for smoking or using marijuana

I like it because it can make the mundane more enjoyable. I like cleaning the house while high its fun.

But marijuana used medicinally can be very helpful to a lot of people that can be seen in how successful CBD is for a lot of ailments.

But potheads don't distinguish the difference and this is why people can get the impression that it is a "safe" drug to use recreationally.

i think thanos was implying that there isn't anything special about it because it's "yet" another recreational drug. i dont think the "just" was meant to imply that its nothing more than that.

Yes it can be both. Smoking pot is not healthy in any way shape or form. Harvesting the medicinally positive parts of the plant itself can not only useful, but helpful to easing pain and ailments. I don't why this is tripping you up. There are many things that depending on how they are used can be harmful and beneficial. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

i know they have those drops that are basically like activated dab oil and you can just drop it under your tongue

Also the cotton industry too IIRC. Hemp could be used to make clothes at a much cheaper price and it threatened to put the cotton industry out of business, so the government had to step in to protect their buddies.

Actually... the tar in marijuana contains the same natural carcinogens that tobacco does. Only difference is that the THC in marijuana counteracts the carcinogens so they have no effect on the body.

why don't these threatened industries, who are supposed to be vastly rich right???, just shift things around and start mass producing the thing that's threatening to take em out

Healthy is a state of being. Fresh vegetables aren't healthy. They're dead. The same goes for harvested weed. The word you're looking for is healthful.

I don't smoke it anymore, but I'm a medical patient in my state and I'll buy THC and CBD creams for muscle/joint relief. <<<Also, if anyone has joint pain, this stuff works 1000x better than icy hot. I probably won't need it after my PT is done, but worth a shot if you're in a legal or medical state.

Currently discussing w/ my therapist about possibly trying to use it to replace Klonopin as an anxiety medication. We're just figuring out what can work best since I typically get panic attacks when I smoke, but I've heard lower, more controlled amounts can work wonders.

I think its way better in almost every way than alcohol. But until they stop stringently testing for thc in my industry I cant use it anyway.

Just like any substance though there are some negatives to it. Some people experience really bad panic attacks from it. Some people become chronic smokers and end up having no ambition. Some people let it completely determine their social circle. And just like alcohol it can lead to some pretty questionable decision making, though yeah, probably not violent.
