Anyone ever get that idea in your head? Now or when you younger. Like you're so excited for a new game and you're worried that something is going to happen between now and when it comes out?

I realized at some point in my life I'll probably be going back to that mentality.

People have died waiting for Half Life 3.

Yeah, i was like pretty depressed for a while but I knew I just had to keep going until Persona 5 came out. That was such a big thing in my head for a long time.

Good game I guess lol I mean, if you played the others it's just the same thing but better.

Topic is a bit premature, maybe post it in 50 years? It would be interesting if we're entering an age where your kind can still be into video games up to your 40s, hell 50s, hell even 60s! That would be interesting to see, old koots still into... whatever it is you play. Like actively playing it. I wonder if it would be possible. We'll just have to wait and see.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying that there have been games that he was so excited to play that he was afraid of having an accident/etc before the game came out.

I remember being super excited for Megaman Battle Network 3 and Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Pokemon Ruby, so I understand the sentiment.

I mean, when I'm old sure - there will be big new game/film franchises or TV shows that I might not see the end of.

But that's life - it won't stop just because I'm dead, people will still be making new things that I won't get to experience. It's not worth dwelling on it.

Anyone stupid enough to still care about let alone be waiting for Half-Life 3 needs to rethink their life.

Its been 14 years since HL2, and 11 since HL 2 episode 2, almost all the people who made those games is long gone, its way past time to move on and stop wasting time on shit that is not happening.

Unlike Duke Nukem Forever HL 3 is not even in developement, DNF had actual evidence of it in the works, HL 3 has nothing at all.

Honestly no. I haven't even purchased a game within its first month of launch in over 10 years (it was GTA IV, for the record). I guess there just aren't many series or franchises I'm really into, and new games/IPs are too much of an unknown for me to get too hyped about.

I'm hoping we get a really badass Shadowrun game with a GTA-style world. Big, fleshed out, and open world. Cyberpunk 2077 looks fucking awesome and I can't wait to try it, but Shadowrun is just another step beyond it that hasn't had much of a videogame presence, surprisingly.

I'm hoping if 2077 sells well, it will inspire Catalyst to jump back into gaming.
