I'm in the minority but I think Chase is actually one of the best Jojo OPs. And the amazing Giorno's theme renditions makes up for any other lacking soundtrack

Chase is great, and pairs well with the opening animation. I found both Fighting Gold and the accompanying animation to be underwhelming.

I did think the animation in Fighting Gold was pretty neat but yeah Chases's animation was absolutely stellar.

Fighting Gold is an alright song but it's a poor man's Bloody Stream. And the animation is good at parts but doesn't really wow you like other intros do. Overall it's just alright.

Giorno's personal theme is fucking amazing tho. I can't wait for the OST to drop. Part 5's music has general been really good so far.

The plot for part 4 starts moving again on episode 21. But before then there some more characters introduced, and a few interesting Stand battles.

I loved Diamond is Unbreakable, from start to finish.

Goddamn lol this topic is really old. I was gonna respond to like a post on page 1 and got surprised as to how old that post was.

Anyways there was a point about how Jotaro's own "The World" ability felt like an asspull (paraphrased). But there were always hints about it, like just how fast and responsive Jotaro and Star Platinum were to things that seemingly seems impossible. People's reaction to Jotaro's ludicrous speed actually stays the same in early-mid part 3 to later on in part 4, where "The World" doesn't really stop time more than it's Jotaro moving so fast and reacts faster that it's seemingly like time had stopped for him. It's just that by the time he was fighting Dio, the true potential of Star Platinum awoke to match the power level of his opponent, which is a theme that repeats in almost every big boss fights in Jojo

Oh God, that's almost the exact point I asked the same question in this topic. It gets good starting from episode 17. Before that I was binge watching and the slice-of-life style made that practice extremely boring.

They dropped the ball on Mistas origin story but besides that it is kino.

The thing is if you are an anime-only then watching Vento Aureo you'll just think it's very good. But having read the manga and seeing the changes and additions they make, it's so intelligent.

Golden Wind is the exact opposite. It's more along the lines of Part 3 but, the Assassins are hardened gangsters and don't fuck around. In this part you either win or you die. The enemies are ruthless and never beg or surrender. They fight to the bitter end using everything they got. Like one battle the main characters capture then torture the enemy stand user to get intel on his partner.

Just learned that Rohan was English Dubbed so I went to check it out. That... wasn't what I expected but it made his beatdown all the more satisfying. Though unless he changes it up I'm not going to be able to take such a sleazy voice seriously during his heroic parts.

I dunno man it just sounds so much less convincing to me than subbed. Maybe if I spoke Japanese and had more exposure to the language then I'd feel the same way for that, I dunno. But as it stands listening to the DiU dub sounds little better than a fandub, its hammy. I do think SC did alright

Eh I thought the episode this week was kind of lazy, not much interesting to look at. At the very least, insubstantial compared to the prior Narancia and Squadra episodes, those three were fucking fantastic. I remember the Man in the Mirror arc in the manga feeling somehow more substantial and weighty. Though in either case I did and still do think that the snake 'serum' thing is not believable, I guess the idea is that the snake's body actively fights the virus but why would the virus killing fluid survive in Giorno's body and so effectively kill the virus, it's just weird and something you have to take for granted.

Man in the Mirror was always main example for why I don't like Gold Experience as much as other Jojo's stands. Its abilities are way too broad, and it sort of just does whatever it needs to at any given moment. The explanation for how he cured Purple Haze's virus sounds like a player in a tabletop campaign rolled a 20 on a check they had no business passing, and the DM has to come up with a scenario on the spot to justify it.

Purple Haze looked really cool though. And the next fight is my favorite fight in all of Jojo, so looking forward to that at least.

There's a lot I like about GE but MitM in particular is an eye roll for me. In some ways I'm just waiting for how they handle King Crimson and eventually the Coliseum arc
