The most interesting ancestor I have is this guy living in Scotland and his dad wanted him to become a priest. And he didn't want to and ran away to America. And that's how my family came to be American. It's not a super long and exciting story but I like how he refused to let other people decide his fate and went to another continent to forge his destiny
