Yeah I did in college because new management at the grocery store I worked at sucked.

Luckily I literally got a call back the next day from one of the jobs I applied for and ended up working there the last few years I was in college.

I did as a teen.

I figured I wouldnt try as hard to find a new job if I could keep trying to justify staying at where I worked.

If my two weeks was in, Id be pressuring myself, which actually ended up being more effective.

As an adult where interviews take atleast a month to decide? Lolno.

I did. But it was more a three weeks notice and they were eliminating my position doing stock for a small store. Rather than being a cashier I gave my notice and quit retail in general.

This. Also the company ended up getting a class action lawsuit for not paying people their proper wages for like a decade.

Oh yeah, I did this twice actually. The first time was for a construction cleanup company and they were paying us below minimum wage due to how they logged the hours. I quit after a week.

I know a guy who did that because "I hate this job." I asked him what he's going to do for work. He said "I'll find something." It's been 5 years. Last time I checked he's mooching off his parents. Wish I could do that.

Yes. I quit with no notice at a job because they tried to put some bull shit on me and disrespected me at every turn. So I quit and ignored their calls. Got a way better job a few weeks later.

Yes. Before those two weeks ended though I had found another job and had it lined up.

It was a risky time in my life.

My main reason for leaving was due to poor management.

Yes. It was draining me. I was really unhappy. The people were fine. It was the work that left me dead inside. Thankfully, I managed to land an entry-level job in my field that started about three weeks after my last day.

Back when I was in high school way back in '99 or 2000. Pretty easy to get a job after that, though.

yep. hours got significantly cut after the holidays and wanted to have complete focus on school at the time

I put in a 16 month notice last June. I was getting laid off, told them I have no intention of finding another job with the company and want to take the lay off. Now they want me to say but I'm telling them to fuck off. I hate my job, just seems like a good time to leave now.

It depends. My brother did this to work on a game, which was very expensive. He finally got another job 1.5 years later (though he wasn't actively searching all of that time) but he was down to his last couple $1,000s.

Yes. At my first law firm, I got send a defendant who raped his two and a half year old daughter. He told me "she was acting like she wanted it". I told him to get out of my office before I killed him, went to the owner of the law firm, and told him I was done.

Turns out they needed someone to go to their sister corporate firm and stop them from fucking up and hemorrhaging money, so they moved me across the country and I've been here since. I'll never deal with criminal law again. I'd rather be unemployed and homeless than deal with those fucking animals.
