Sad, really. I honestly figured it went without saying that obviously your hand is not permanently on the stick at all times while driving. But I guess it did need to be stated.

What a backpedal...

LOL please, it's a fucking obvious implication. He either

A.) Actually didn't understand, in which case he's a shitty driver for literally having one hand on the stick at all times
or
B.) Understood the implication but didn't have a response to the core argument so decided to attack the implication instead of the argument.

Either way it's an L for him because as a manual driver he should obviously fucking know that the hand isn't on the stick at all times.

That was not implied in the slightest by your post.

Muffinz0rz posted...

You are clearly backpedaling. There isn't even a point to your argument, anyway. You're just shitposting like you always do and trying to start an argument.

Blows my mind that you are a grown ass man and spend hours a day trolling people.

Lol shut the fuck up, you came into this conversation where you had zero involvement just to attack me because you don't like me for some reason. You and I both know if the roles were reversed you'd be saying "yeah obviously the implication was clear." Don't pretend otherwise, you and I both know it's true.

You love the ad hominem attacks, you're just here because you like attacking me instead of whatever argument is being made.

What game? Answer the question.

Burden of proof lies on the accuser.

Give me proof that manual driven cars across all demographics of driver's crash more often.

Give me proof that manual driven tractor trailers crash more often across all transport demographics.

Give me proof that auto racing is safer due to more automatics being used. SPECIFICALLY because of that. A literal causation.

Why should I answer your question when you can't answer mine?

Here's another

https://www.wheels.ca/news/attention-one-handed-drivers-heres-the-proper-way-to-hold-a-steering-wheel-901/

The one-handed driver is not in control of their vehicle and most likely will crash in an emergency.

NONE of these three demands relate to my original true/false question in post #55. These all have to do with manual transmissions or whatever the auto racing point is trying to make.

My question was about two hands on the wheel vs. one hand on the wheel for two seconds.

You're trying to change the question. That wasn't my question. Therefore these three follow-up demands of proof are irrelevant and unnecessary.

I gave a complete explanation as to why I don't have to answer it. I have successfully disproven your claim that your assessment of my true/false scenario (post #55) and your answer of "100% false" (post #60) is wrong. It's not a backpedal when the argument is over and you were defeated.

Driving with two hands is safer than driving with one hand. Argument over.

Literally none of those says driving manual is more dangerous, as you are trying to say.

You don't get to mix two points together to get a conclusion in the way you are doing.

Your topic is about driving manual being inferior to driving an auto, and your attempt at a reason is that people who drive stick are driving unsafely by having one hand on the wheel for an insignificant amount of time.

Your reasoning doesn't follow logically. They are two separate things. "Manual is inferior to auto" and "driving one handed is dangerous" don't support one another.

So before I own you any harder, which simplified, contextless point are you wanking over?

Once you tell me which hill you want to die on, I'll oblige you.

Now, regarding the topic, show me the proof that removing your hand from the wheel to shift causes accidents, as you are saying.

And answer my question.

Also, to deal with this:

Automatics are better and safer as you can just concentrate on driving and not forgetting using your turn signal when changing lanes

Different hands shift and hit the turn signal. The two do not interfere with one another. Try again, cause that's another L.

Translation: I can't actually get any numbers because they don't exist. So I'll just use irrelevant information that I spin in order to sound smart.

A brief Google search brings up a dozen or more pages stating "there is no measure able safety difference"

And I'll back that up with this wee fact: manuals have no different insurance rates than autos of the same vehicle.

If manuals were more dangerous, they'd cost more to insure.

Now answer my question. Or bow out like you should have 2 pages ago.

Actually most manual drivers have claimed it made them better drives. While it sounds biased, it's ok to make that assumption because you have to watch rpms, take note what gear you're in, etc. Manual drivers have to multi task.

As for Automatics, being safer is subjective. Sure you can pay attention more, but most drivers are texting, putting on makeup, or zoning out. On my way to Pennsylvania I saw a woman driving with her knees eating a burger and texting.

Automatics are boring. You press 2 pedals and that's it. My next car will be a manual and I'm never going back to automatic.

There's really no point anymore. They removed the manual option from my car (TT) because the paddles just wipe their ass all over the manual.

The only reason I can see getting a manual at this point is if you're a guy who's into classics or JDM's who doesn't have much of a choice. Other than that all modern auto's with paddles spray diarrhea on sticks.

But what you seem to misunderstand is most people don't buy a manual for performance. With today's tech, automatics and dual clutch systems shift way faster, however they will never be as fun a clutch and stick

Why would r4x0r need an alt?

He gets warned all the time from posting FBI statistics.

My car is automatic but for whatever reason I can put it in manual and shift gears via buttons on my steering wheel. As someone said, the guy showing me the features at the dealership said it was useful in icy conditions.

Its weird because I never heard of that being a thing before but to be fair the last car I had before I bought my car a year ago was over 20 years old

2017 Subaru Impreza for reference

Lol Tupacrulez .That was quite the entertaining argument you had. Although do note that there are plenty of snitches here unlike 271.

Also you were arguing with one of r4X0r 's alts.

He took the Eternal L

Also I'm not a r4x0r alt and I literally don't know who that is
