I dont like traveling as much as I thought I would. Ive been having panic attacks and I honestly miss the comfort of home. Its cool to see nice buildings and forests and stuff, but I like home more. I like knowing the language and being familiar with the food and having a steady group of friends who I know.

Plus actually moving around is tiring and boring.

I still have 19 days on this trip. I want to be home.

You might never get the chance to do something like this again. Enjoy it.

Im trying, but I dont think its an environment where Ill fully enjoy myself. Im a nervous person and I cant handle the stress of everything going on around me without other people. Theres only one person on this trip who I really like, and she likes being alone for the most part, so I try not to bother her too much. Plus Im just sorta depressed in general, and its hard to enjoy things when Id rather just be asleep.

Lucky you. Only time I've been out of the country was a brief trip to Niagra Falls/Canada many years ago. People say I should travel more. Other than not knowing where I'm going I don't see too many problems with it. Going by yourself is a lot easier since you don't need to convince a crowd what the next activity is going to be.

What is going on around you that's causing stress?

I'd kill for a opportunity like the one you've got. Mind you I think that quite often about some folk on things much more important. Still I can imagine depression stops you appreciating things like this. I can only hope you're getting the help you clearly need with your condition.

Oh hey, it's you.
I dunno, man. Like, it always helps me to write down or talk about a handful of recent things I'm grateful for when I'm feeling down. Sure, things still suck in the background, but it helps me feel a bit better about what's going on in the present.

It's what you make of it and while it might not be the life for you, I'm sure you can take something good away from it (like the forests as you've said!)

definitely glad I came on this trip. The things Im learning and experiencing I could definitely NOT get somewhere else. Im just saying that one of the things Ive learned is that Im not huge on going places. Especially for weeks at a time. I like staying in more.

That's why when I travel I stay in one place and make that my home. So many people seem to have attachment issues, and I'm lucky to not have any.
