However people who have transitioned have gone thought lots of therapy before it. I would say it should be up to their therapist on if they feel they would be a good fit for either. As I said I can't say for sure I am in support of transitioning to begin with, but I wouldn't feel comfortable if someone was post op throwing them in a prison of the opposite of their current sex. Pre op is still a little up in the air and a lot more research needs to be done to figure out what to do about it.
