His Bleach artwork was amazing in the beginning and was very stylistic, however the quality took a dip as the series went on. Compare the characters and backgrounds of the first few volumes to the last and the difference is pretty stark (see what I did there?). Apparently the constant strain and overload started to take a toll on Kubo's health in the latter years of Bleach's run. I guess his new one shot Burn the Witch is a spiritual successor to Bleach with witches instead of shinigami.
