People treat them like "fake gamers" and are condescending for no reason that does them any good. Well I can't tell if it's sarcasm, but there's something that's wrong with that line of reasoning, too. It's like you're trying to market baby food towards adult usage because adults buy them for their kids. You don't just market willy-nilly or make your products towards any random market you can find. Just because a bunch of people who play 1 game and will play 1 game exist, doesn't mean you start dumbing down the game and try to get these people to buy your product. These kinds of people don't even like paying for games for one thing, and for another, the more you appeal to different types of people, the more the product suffers and you end up losing the other end of the spectrum, aka people who want games made for gamers. That's why some gamers like complaining some of the easier Mario games, when Nintendo actually has justifications to market towards people who like simpler games.
