Probably one of the funniest TV characters that I can think of

One of my favorite shows of all time, right there with good ol' King of the Hill.

Season 1 can be pretty jarring. He tones it down somewhat beginning next season.

I hated Michael on my first viewing of The Office. Now though, he's hands down my favorite character. The show just isn't the same without him.

tbh, that's when I really started liking it. Well, other than a bunch of the Robert California nonsense (although he had some of my favorite quotes, including "sometimes the flowers arrange themselves").

Granted, after watching towards the end, I went back and watched some of the earlier stuff and liked at least some of that as well. My overall favorite episode is probably "Dwight K. Schrute, Acting Manager" although the Sexual Harassment Training episode in s2 is probably in my top 5.

yeah it absolutely can constitute spoilers. you don't necessarily know how that cast member's character leaves the show: were they killed? Did they move? did they get eaten by an alien life form? It's pretty well-established that (Office spoiler) Steve Carrell leaves at some point in the show because he's pretty much the main character and everyone made a big deal about it (and still does). But you definitely can't say that for other shows that aren't as well known or as talked about. Saying "so-and-so's character leaves the show at some point" is kind of a big deal because then you're anticipating that moment when it should have potentially been a surprise. This is actually kind of important in shows where people die all the time like in Game of Thrones. You could toss around a lot of spoilers just by saying who is and who isn't in the show at certain points in the series.
