A quick google search reveals that there are 1,200 A&W locations. It's just easy for NMB to forget about A&W because he never leaves his house. For anyone with an actual life, it's not easy to forget A&W. To my knowledge their advertising is minimal to non-existent and to argue that they are common everywhere just because of their total location number is misleading (and 1200 really isn't that many compared to the bigger chains that number in the tens of thousands). The distribution of their locations is uneven and depending on where you live you may never see them. Nobody ever uses the drive-up stalls, they just go to the drive thru. I actually went inside and ordered once and they were confused as hell. Maybe there was, but for a while I thought you could only get their root beer at the restaurant. It's not a place I think about going to eat very often, though. Because of this topic I decided to look up if there were any near me and was surprised at how close the nearest one is. I'm actually glad it was attached to a KFC, because all the A&W food looked lame. The root beer is good but I wouldn't go here again since it's easy to find good small-company root beers in grocery stores nowadays <cite>Chewster posted [p:904898416] in it's easy ...
