Geoffrey the Giraffe, the Toys R Us Mascot has gone Viral after a heartbreaking photo of him holding a suitcase in an EMPTY store has fans sad over the end of the company as the remaining inventory in stores across the country have already cleared stock...and Geoffrey is moving on too!!

The picture of the beloved mascot standing admist empty shelves in Connecticut has broken the hearts of thousands of former kids who are now adults as they mourn the demise of the toy kingdom.

The company filed for bankruptcy last fall and announced it was shutting down for good back in March across America, though is still in business in Canada

Rene Johnpiere, believed to be one of the last employees of the company took this photo which has now amassed 300,000 shares.

She posted other photos of the empty store including a sign with a cartoon version of Geoffrey painting the words "I guess everyone has grown up. There's no more Toys R Us kids"

Another poster has a letter from the giraffe that read "One day, all of us wil get separated from each other. We will miss our conversations of everything, and nothing, and the dreams we had. Days, months and years will pass until this contract becomes rare. One day, our children will see our pictures and ask "Who are these people?" and we will smile with invisible tears because a heart is touched with a strong word and you will say "it was with them that i had some of the best days of my life"

Thursday night was the last day the employees gathered together to say their goodbyes as the doors locked forever

Its a very sad day seeing this, toysrus was a great store to most kids and many of us have fond memories of it from the 90s and early 2000s.

I remember buying so many games there, how they had a pokemon card game league, and did pokemon event giveaways for the games.

An age has come to an end and Im not sure kids not caring about toys much now is a good thing.

I'm not that kid anymore, so can't say I am too bothered. In the e-commerce era, overpriced brick and mortar stores don't stand a chance.
