What a stupid topic. So much depends on what happens between now and 2020 and who the Dems run. If Trump gets us into an unpopular war or a recession hits before the next election, his chances of re-election will be very slim. On the other hand, if the economy is still chugging along and the Dems inexplicably run Hillary again, hell be a near-lock to win a second term.

There are too many variables to say with any degree of certainty what will happen, and you look like a complete fool when you act like you can divine the future.

Predicting an election 2 years away is like predicting the winner of the Super Bowl 2 years from now.

So much shit is still going to happen between now and then. Players will enter the arena, leave the arena, get popped for scandals/affairs, external events not under our control, things to be said and done affecting opinions, health issues, technology advances, the state of the economy, natural disasters, etc etc...

Dems will vote for the Dem, GOP for Trump.
What matters is what all those independent people in the middle think. And so long as their lives are humming along nicely like right now, then historically they vote for the incumbent president.

Can you blame them? This is what happens when the media has a 2 year tantrum and runs wild with even the slightest hint of scandal. I think people got tired of the witch hunts that consistently turned up nothing, their bias is clear and extremely off putting. Theres zero objectivity and they go in guns blazing making mountains out of mole hills.
My god, CNN has op-ed pieces slamming Trump consistently at the top of their page vs actual, yknow, news.

When a source that has lost all credibility in the eyes of at least half the public, it stands to reason the reaction will be akin to "uh huh, sure" to the "scandal" of the day.
