I woke up and did my morning routine, and then had an internal dialogue that said fuck it, I'm not going. And tbh, I feel more relieved than anything

I drive for uber on the side. So I can just drive more now, but yeah, I was actually a manager for a local food joint. Doesnt sound glamorous but I was making 40k a year aside from my uber earnings.

And honestly, it'll probably be funny for my employees to see there's no one there to let them in. The owner of the joint is my friend who pulled me away from someone else and honestly his business model is shit and nothing I do goes appreciated so I'm going back to my old job

It was a terrible business venture by a friend. I was actually a manager at an upscale place in downtown Baton Rouge, but my friend bought a place in a low income residential area. That place sees no traffic and the business is failing. He let some lady that doesnt even live here decide what the best place was and since he established it it was doomed from jump because he had many other options to open.

And basically every single day I heard it from him about how it wasnt successful, but that's not my fault. So if I'm just under scrutiny despite doing my best, then fuck it. I'm going back to my old job where they said they will always have a spot for me.

We weren't that close. Well, we were close when we were kids. But as we grew up we grew apart. But he decided to invest in this shit, and because I was experienced he agreed to pay me a higher salary than I was making.

The only thing I'm mad about is that I basically sold out for a shit business when I already had a good thing going. But enough is enough.
