They used High rock in ES1, but an actual 3D world of it would be nice

This is another strike against High Rock. I know Arena technically went everywhere, but I thought High Rock had been done? Also, it doesn't sound like a region that "[Bethesda] can't develop since the technology doesn't exist yet."

What's so damn interesting about a land filled with steep rocks? The sounds like a backstep.

The political landscape and you really shouldn't count es1 as going to high rock because that game is ancient and does not do High rock justice

I didn't suggest that there isn't interesting lore, and I'm pretty sure the tower of origins is located off the coast of HR. But why would Bethy do a game about High Rock when a) we've already been there, twice (Arena, Eso), and b) when there are other places we have yet to see? It doesn't click.

That just sounds lazy, and procedural.

I don't think Akavir is happening any time soon. Probably won't happen at all. Tamriel is the center of the TES world. Everyone wants to go to Akavir because it's mysterious and intriguing, but that might also be the reason why we'll never see it.

Why do people keep hoping for Akavir? It's never gonna happen. The whole point of Akavir in lore is that it's mysterious.

It looks like it passes from the icy mountains of Skyrim into the green hills of Highrock imo. The castle ruins don't look anything like elven or beastkin architecture either kabutops

That's what I was thinking. You start in the Wrothgarian Mountains and sweep west to the northern coast of High Rock. In the far distance of the teaser you see what I'm thinking is the port town of Farrun.

Honestly High Rock is probably the last place I'd want ES6 to take place in since it's terrain and setting is basically just a warmer Skyrim. It's still heavily mountainous and rocky like Skyrim, just less snow. Something like Hammerfell or Summerset Isles would be a much more drastic change in setting that it would help the game feel less like "Skyrim 2".

Also High Rock is small, so unless they're going to combine it with Hammerfell like in Daggerfall, they're either going to have to make the map smaller than Skyrim or have to change the scale of the world.

Honestly changing the scale of the world wouldn't be a bad idea. From Skyrim to Fallout 4 especially we saw everything get compressed and compacted together, to the point where you almost tripped over the points of interest with every step you took. If Fallout 76 is 4x the map size of Fallout 4 then TES6 might similarly be at least larger than Skyrim.

Think we'll return to Cyrodiil in DLC like how we returned to Solstheim/Morrowind in Skyrim?

Yuck. I hope we never get a full on Breton game. They may consistently have great racial bonuses but lorewise what a pathetic race. Not as strong as men, not as magically inclined as mer. The descendants of rape babies from elven overlords and their man race slaves. Pitiful Bretons.
