But if Donk and MI are both not scum (spoilers: this doesn't see possible) then yes in that universe i am not convinced of your claim and try to lynch you. But in that universe MI will have been confirmed cop which supports all the claimed scans.

I feel like people have been asking me for explanations of my vote because my vote posts have no reasoning in them, but the reasoning is still on the same page as the vote so I don't copy it over.

I think I've made it pretty clear that I don't believe that the doppleganger is a counter to the cop, and through my own reads and confirmed scans the only two people I think might be scum are FD and Donk. Both have been pretty scummy throughout the game, but I lean towards FD for three reasons: 1) the lynch yesterday where Donk was the alternate, 2) FD's refusal to post yesterday, and 3) Corrik's read on Donk.

I haven't been thrilled with either of their plays so far. FD has obviously put in more work with what he's done so far, but I'm still unconvinced because of what happened yesterday.

1) its very possible for Scum to be both leading lynches, especially if the other potential Scum (donk) didn't even participate in the switch to the dopple.

I am. Because I am not the last scum, I do not need to worry about staying alive. While I would rather not cost town a mislynch, it's not the end if the game if I do. Corrik being scum requires scum to target itself with its detective for no reason *and* for him to have conveniently picked the one flavour claim that wouldn't get exposed by Thief (granted, if Doppelganger is anti-Thief scum may have known a flavour cop of some sort existed, but it still seems a big stretch) or for Town to have lied about its targets (or Foolmo saw himself...! This is a joke fyi), which we shouldn't assume. Zach I'm inclined to trust, Arti concerns me with how convinced he is that there's a godfather and how eagerly he accepts MI's claim without question, Donker may be imitating confused/bad town...

MI is probably the lynch we need today. If he's scum he fakes a guilty scan on Corrik, Arti buys it, then he needs one more person to buy him or even to just idle and he wins. Worst case scenario we know it's a godfather hunt, scum shoots Corrik presumably and we have Zach/me/Arti/Donk final four. If there is a godfather I know it's Zach, Arti or Donk anyway so I have to figure out which of them is the most likely to be scum, I think I'd rather clear up MI and be able to look at how those three responded to his claim with certainty that scum bought it before making the decision on them.

Let's discuss this. You're absolutely right that if I'm scum that's the path to victory. I so can't see Corrik as scum based on how the game has progressed but every time I'm thinking about the game I go back to a fear that he somehow is and is playing us all. But from him fake-claiming miller (protecting himself from a potential guilty scan?) to Nana dying last night instead of him (maybe because scum wanted him around to push to lynch me?) I just have this fear.

I think today is the right time to use our NL. Then I can scan Corrik tonight. If scum kills Corrik tonight, great. If scum picks to kill me tonight, take a hard look at Corrik tomorrow. If neither Corrik nor I die but I have an inno scan on Corrik then we still have 2 ML left and we can go from there. We will have more information and be in no worse of a scenario then we are in today.

When scum I do make power claims. But they are literally always some form of protection that I can use to justify how I'm still alive. In no world does scum-MI fake claim cop on D3 when we've already lost 3 scum. It paints a target on my back as to 'why is he still alive' when scum starts killing vanillas over me.
