She was walking out of a Target store in Southfield on May 22n when she was stopped by a black security guard and then a 2nd officer, who was white handcuffed her and DRAGGED her through the store yelling at her for wearing a "stolen bikini panties" underneath her clothing!! Her lawyer says "He said that over and over. Loud enough for other customers to hear and loud enough to publicly humiliate our client" said lawyer, Jasmine Rand Jasmine continued and said "To obtain her freedom she then has to pull up her shirt with 2 male employees at target to prove she hasn't stolen a bikini top and then she had to pull down her pants and UNDERWEAR to prove she hasn't stolen a bikini bottom. And then would they let her leave target" It was confirmed by a representative that this happened.. Ashanae said she was in shock and very humiliating as she felt degraded and very upset about it to be accused of stealing in this way. She is now filing a race and gender discrimination lawsuit against the corporation as she wants them to be held accountable and it should not happen to anyone else. Target released a statement stating "We want everyone who shops at Target to feel welcomed and respeced and take any allegations of mistreatment seriously. We're sorry for the actions of our former team member, who created an experience we don't wat any guest to have at Target.
