As someone who liked Blazblue series, Persona 4, Under Night, and RWBY to different degrees this was something I definitley wanted to pick up

Anyone else?

I got it for switch for portability of training and Episode mode but may get for PS4 version if more poeple play on it.

Might snag it on PC if I can get a nice deal, but I'm already ignoring one fighting game that I actually love (DBFZ) just because there's so much else I have to play. For what it's worth, from playing the beta it seems like it's going to be a pretty great game!

I dislike that its mostly a lazy sprite dump, but my friends have told me the gameplay is solid.

I'm not sure about it based on the demo. The character designs seem alright but there's even less to them than in DBFZ. I'm most worried about the non-RWBY ones who have to be simplified from games with at least four attack buttons. Mechanics seem to hold most of the depth and I didn't quite grasp them from the tutorial and playing a little.

I guess the sprite dump nature meant the actual new sprites were going to be few and far between.

The people who like Jaune are generally the....off side of the RWBY fandom.

Because let me tell you brother.

They REALLY like Jaune.

ugh the lobby system is bad and doesn't work. The room system exists but can't find any games. Want to fight a friend? You play a best of 3 on an "arcade machine" and then have to exit out and come back in.

It uses the fighterz mini sprite thing but forgot all of the functionality and purpose of it.

Wasn't just me, huh? Seems like a match lasts less time than a typical round in 1v1 games.

Later take: This game was lazy as fuck. All the non-RWBY characters look sub-par since the sprites are just rips from other games. Gameplay is a somewhat unique take on tag switching but the low health means you wont see most of it. The X-Factor equivalent is dumb people need to stop putting these in games.

The lobby system is all just a bad take on the one in FigherZ. Worst of all, the lobby is just totally lifeless, so it feels like there isnt any reason at all for it to exist(FighterZ is colorful and has tons of avatars for people).

I advise people to mostly just stay away or play a better game(I don't even like Dragon Ball but find FighterZ quite a ton of fun). This is an Infinite level attempt at game design. Bad.

Seems like its a quick cash grab that was in development before Arcsys knew FighterZ was going to explode like an H-bomb.

Then again this is just the beta still, right?
