The MCU is not better than the DCEU, but everyone thinks the MCU is way better.
Star Wars was never good, TLJ was a lot of fun and not a "ruiner of your childhood"
Jurassic World should not have gotten a sequel, Avatar shouldn't have gotten 5.
Etc., etc.

People just have shit taste when it comes to blockbusters. So long as they continue to make money, we won't see a change.

It's not edgy to dislike superhero movies.

They all go the same general path of some underdeveloped cast because they can't squeeze characterizations and a bunch of jokes into a 2 hour movie together, an ending that's just a bunch of CGI going all around the place, same boring plot of the end of the world as we know, etc., etc.

If you like it, good for you. There are much better movies out there that make the difference between your standard MCU and DCEU much smaller than you seem to think.

For those that didn't watch the video, the point he's trying to make is that people in the media that supported the new trilogy are now turning on it. These same people that would call anyone who criticized the new films as misogynists and white supremacists are now turning and blaming Kathleen Kennedy.

The idea is that these people would probably not be turning on her unless they heard rumors that she was going to be stepping down. It's a loose connection, but it is what these critics are going by.

Disney is in the red on this franchise so far. Solo actually put them further down. The merchandise isn't moving either. They can only hemorrhage money for so long before someone is blamed.

The good thing about Kathleen being removed would mean that Rian's Trilogy may also be cancelled. One can hope. Aside from that the only thing to save this disaster would be Filoni's new show but I can't see how even that could manage it.

A handful of people liking the new trilogy isn't going to save it. A small group of people also liked the Hellboy films (including myself). That didn't help get a third film made. It a franchise isn't making money, something is going to change or the series will be cancelled.

He seems to actually care about lore/connecting the universe, while also making a great story with the things he's done. I don't know about him being the "Feige" of it all, but he needs to have way more creative control than he does now.

I still feel like I've entered the twilight zone whenever I see someone praise Dave Filoni.

It's a step in the right direction giving Kathleen Kennedy a boot out the door HOWEVER so much damage has already been done and they have a lot of hard work to do in order to get the fans back.

There is no way they can correct things over night but they have an uphill battle ahead of them.

Because Kevin Feige had been with Marvel Studios since X-Men 1, way before Disney. Donner and Arad were specially impressed with his knowledge of the Marvel Universe. Basically, he was a huge nerd, and then became president of Marvel Studios and then when Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, they kept him.

Finn is far worse is Jar Jar

In TLJ Finn had no agency at all, and literally knew nothing about the world around him, and only won his first real fight because he got beat so bad so he was knocked out of the fight. He is in a Army, yet he didn't know about Arms dealers . (Rose a mechanic did), he didn't know what the space horses were (Rose did). HE was the one who parked on the beach that got them arrested. He was the one who let DJ over hear the plan. (Still trying to figure out how DJ new about the cloaks.) He starts off the movie in a bubble in does 3 pratfalls . Then when he goes to leave to try to save Rey. he is beaten up by Rose . Once more he is a fighter she is a mechanic. He was leaving in order to save Rey. At the end Rose stops him from killing himself .. saying it is not about hurting the ones you hate it is about saving blah blah blah. But she just stopped him from doing just that. At the start of the movie. If it is about saving the ones you love she should have let him go. Beyond that she talked about stopping other people form leaving. You know statically speaking she killed those people.

I write that whole thing just to point out how bad this character is.

I could do the same for so many other characters in this movie.

I loved The Last Jedi. I honestly don't get the hatred. I think maybe some spoiled fanboys just aren't going to be satisfied with anything. No matter what comes out, they are going to say that the earlier entries were better. Get over it and move on.

Yeah, I know he hired her to succeed. Disney went with it based on George Lucas's recommendation.

Disney did the same with Marvel. I was trying to point out that Disney gave both the benefit of the doubt, but one obviously had a load of experience specifically with Marvel, instead of movies in general.

The same thing is happening with Walt Disney Pictures. Sean Bailey had relatively little experience and now most of the Disney Live Action films have been doing horrible.

As opposed to Disney Animation/Pixar's Ed Catmull, whose childhood dream was to make movies like the Disney movies of his childhood and seems to be pushing out hit after hit, since he's been at this with Pixar and Lucas since the 70s.

It was actually Jonathan Kasden, who is Lawrence Kasdan's son, who both wrote this film. Lawrence Kasdan was one of the writers of TESB.
