I don't think gang members are necessarily bad people, I have been involved in gang activities myself. It is more complex than whether or not people are 'good' or 'bad.' For many people a gang represents a way to provide for yourself or your family when you can't do so by legal means for whatever reason.

OTOH the defense of gangs because 'you don't know what they do' and/or 'we do good stuff' is a pretty shit tier opinion too. Gangs as organizations are inherently bad, even if it is true that they aren't homogeneously 'evil' in the sense that everyone in them delights in terrorizing or harming people.

African Americans have an identity tho, they usually do it for their specific identity. Versus white people who leach off other cultures because its a trend and sell it for profit. Which infuriates me.

A black girl with cornrows is considered ghetto but a white girl with cornrows is hip and cool. They have nothing to attach to, so their self awareness is low. Or maybe Im giving them too much credit and they are blatantly doing it.

One of the example is when urban outfitters took a dress from a tribe and renamed it as if they created it. Didnt give out the source for the inspiration or anything. Its okay for the majority to say its not cultural appropriation because they dont have a culture to begin with.
