This is now in my top 5 anime of all time. Every time I expect the story to go one way, it completely surprises me.

I really hope I eventually get a huge Gon vs Hisoka Match.

I would also like to see Gons Dad fight someone.

Greed Island is an underrated arc I think.

I loved just about every minute of it. Final fight is epic as shit, too.

Greed Island was always my favorite arc in the original HxH (it's the final arc there). It has a fantastic setting, probably my favorite in the show, and the use of powers and everything is just so much fun.

I just watched it again and I still get chills.

I remember reading the chapter way back when, right when it came out and thinking it was unlike anything else I'd ever seen.

The animation, music, voice acting. They nail everything on it perfectly. I'm interested to see how they do it with the English voices in the dub.

The chairmain and Kiluas grandfather coming down in the form of a dragon was so ambient and captivating. Then being old acquaintances is also a great surprise.

3. Hunter X Hunter
4. Rurouni Kenshin ( season 1-2)
5. Samurai Champloo

The Dragonball franchises kind of sits on its own spot away from any ranking list. That series is too far ingrained into my dna to not love it, but I recognize its terrible writing at times.

So what do I watch next?

Both are excellent. There are a few moments that are hard to beat the sub on, but I think the dub is an overall better experience. I might lean less if I didn't just...hate one of the Japanese VAs for one of the main characters. Anyone who has watched knows who I mean.
