Edit to clarify: I wasn't kicked out I naturally left and my 24 y/o sister still lives at home, so this wasn't a post made out of bitterness. My point is that it's not hard to imagine that different parents have different parenting styles

Worth mentioning they asked him multiple times to move out and he was contributing no rent or anything towards utilities. They were well within their right to ask him to move out. Hes a grown-ass man.

I wasn't kicked out but after 18 they said pay rent, and I said if I'm renting I'm going where my rules are law instead of yours. So I moved out.

I was better off, in my case, anyway. :)

Look I hate capitalism as much as the next person but humans used to have to hunt and gather just to survive. Many would die doing these everyday activities. Is it really too much to ask to spend half your day five days a week safely doing something socially productive in exchange for shelter and sustenance? Life owes you nothing.

My parents always said that If i live in their house I either need to go to school, or get a job. But I dont think they ever wouldve kicked me out. To this day they tell me I can come home if I ever need to.

I don't even know why this is news, people take their family to court all the time. I mean it's literally nothing new. In New Jersey it's called an ejectment complaint for when you want someone out and they don't pay rent or bills

this. although we are from the Balkan motherland. our ways are not their ways, which is unfortunate.

The parents got fed up with their 30 year old son being jobless and contributing nothing to the house and no longer were willing to provide him a free place to stay and after he faillled to move out after being asked several times escalated it to court.

This does not mean there's now a law that says you have to move out of your parent's house by 30. As long as your parent's are fine with still housing you in your 30s you won't have to move out.
