If you already have begun your turn then toss it on, sure, I have heard of that before.

Yeah, this is typically when it comes into play, if you've already begun the turn or have slowed down substantially for the turn before turning it on

Depending on the speed limit/where it is, you don't gotta be riding somebody's ass to still potentially hit somebody who suddenly turns or merges without warning, which is basically the same thing.

I'm not commenting on the situation or anything, since I haven't read it. I just think the law itself/reasoning is fair.

Sometimes cops do that because they're trying to keep a low profile as they approach a target.

However, they often just abuse it, just like they abuse almost everything else.

So for a very long time i worked at a convenience store where we gave cops free coffee/fountain drinks and whatnot, so they kind of hung out there all the time. I got to know most of the cops in the area. I recognize most of the cops in that video as a result. Many of them were people that, if it were just me working in the store, would say hello and make pleasant small talk and generally be friendly, but if it were me and one of my black co-workers, would be cold and say very little.

Now, once or twice I could understand that they were probably just having a rough shift and weren't in the mood. But it happened so often that that line of reasoning doesn't really stand up. Especially compared to how often it didn't happen when it was just me.

Did you only have black co-workers to have those experiences with? Did other co-workers have better experiences with them one-on-one than they did when they were with you or another co-worker? Just exploring if there was a group dynamic to your angle that otherwise sounds pretty bad.

I for one am glad we kept up our hard stance in regards to them. We gave them nothing unlike past administrations when they played this song and dance. And, we got 3 of our prisoners back as well.

Well, I will clarify that not all of the cops were like that, probably not the majority. But a good number.

And when it was me and another white person they would generally still be friendly most of the time. And when i asked one of my black co-workers about it, he said those cops acted the same when it was just him.

Again, not all of them. A number of them were really nice all around to all my coworkers. One of them even kind of became a friend because we would talk about obscure jrpgs and whatnot and he would text me about the latest gaming news and shit. Until I transitioned anyway and then it got awkward
