I mean, it would happen. That is where gun owners are so f***ing idiotic. There is no way to stop tyranny. There is no such things as armed rebellions at our point. Unless the military goes rogue, the government is unstoppable by arms.

Wait

You think that if Trump ordered the bombing of an American city, the military WOULDNT go rogue?

I am sure it would. I do think the city will get bombed though if ordered

I think attacking the press when it is accurate is debatable.

What exactly is debateable about that?

I think there is instances when it could be best to do so.

Such as?

One easy example would be if it undermined secutiy in a situation. If you are say attacking an undisclosed area and someone says I have a white house official saying you are planning to bomb Iran tomorrow, it might be wise to denounce that claim. There are a good bit of scenarios where defending your administration from leaks is a good idea.

I just think it isn't the best idea when they can show total proof regarding it.

Like, if the article, journalist, whatever said This person (name) said this. Do I think Trump would have denounced it? No. (He probably would have been like who the hell is that... Lololol).

Ok so what about that ICE was literally caught calling illegal immigrants members who weren't?

When you do that, it makes it very easy to go:

Illegal Immigrants are MS-13.
MS-13 are less than animals.
Illegal Immigrants are less than animals.

That's not to say murdering, raping, etc members of MS-13 aren't scum, but when you're painting with a broad brush like that, you're gonna spill paint on innocent people.

This is a big issue, I'd say. It wasn't a leak, it was a briefing to members of the press. So that means one of two things

1. Trump doesn't even pay attention to what's going on in his own White House
2. Trump just automatically expects that everybody in the White House is going to tell the same lies that he tells and keep up whatever narrative that he has in his head

Both of those are troubling.

I get that now (the only info on this I got from the tweets and below the one is the guy staying why it was okay for him to say the person's name because he was not in agreement to withhold it like they were?). I am not sure Trump was aware of that and thought they were citing a leak.

Also I think there is a huge difference between someone like Hannity saying theyre animals, and the head of the executive branch of the government saying theyre animals.

There is a reason that every President before Trump crafted his words very carefully before speaking

I would like to think a lot of stuff is delegated and no president knows everything everyone in the white house is doing at all times.

I can't really comment on whether Trump should have known about this briefing and what was said (or even if what the person said in the briefing was accurate) as I do not know how that command is set up. Thus, I will just say it would be nice if the administration was on the same page more often. (I feel it likely wasn't here because Trump flipped his position after the fact).

Trump not knowing about the press conference isn't a big deal. Trump attacking the media and calling them liars over an easily verifiable fact is a big deal. Either he didn't check with his staff before saying blatantly false things through a channel he has stated is an official line of communication, or his staff is completely uninformed. Neither case paints a pretty picture here.

In the alternate universe where Hillary won...

-Republican Congress continue stalling the Merrick Garland nomination on basis that 'election was illegitimate'.
-Republicans appointed special prosecutor Robert Mueller to investigate Hillary's Emails. After two years and zero indictments, Rudy Guilliani is saying that two years isn't long enough for an investigation, and promises that the investigation will continue.
-After the abysmal failure of TNA (The Trump News Association) Trump has mostly spent his days tweeting about how the election was rigged and how our FAKE President is doing a bad job and how he'd do so much better.
-Mike Pence is preparing his bid for 2020.
-John McCain is still viewed as an American Hero, and Jeff Flake is running for reelection.
-Trump HAS however declared he intends to run for Senate against Kirsten Gillibrand. however he's lagging in the primaries. All major news networks except for Fox are covering his run 24/7. FOX is still covering Hillary's emails. Little national coverage is going to the historic peace talks between the Koreas.
-The Iran Deal is still going strong. More moderates come out in Iran.
-Benjamin Netanyahu plans on meeting with congress again to get them to move the embassy to Jerusalem. Hillary vows to not go forward with it.
-Hillary's strong words condemning the actions of the Nazi's and KKK in Charlottesville were some of her best moments as President.
-The NFL has announced that there are no plans to make kneeling for the flag mandatory. Roger Goodell said recently that "The NFL has, and always will, value the freedom of speech of our players."
-Conservatives went nuts after President Clinton invited the Parkland students to the white house, and posed for photo ops with Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg.
-Biggest controversy of the Clinton administration so far is First Gentleman Bill Clinton's silence regarding the #metoo movement.
-Despite low approval ratings for Hillary, voters also seem displeased with the Republicans obstructionism. Though Luther Strange still won the Alabama special election.
-Hillary's approval ratings are low, though she's still fairly popular among democrats.
-The head of the EPA is... well does it really matter? It's not Scott Pruitt.
-John King Jr. remains in the role of Secretary of Education. He has vowed to fight against for-profit institutions.
-Net Neutrality was upheld by the FCC.
-After it was leaked that President Clinton refered to congress as 'those fucking people'," FOX news spent three days covering her use of bad language. Republicans criticized her for her use of language, said it was language unbecoming of the President and that Trump never would have used such language. Her approval ratings among moderates, however, were boosted for a short time.
-Most people begrudgingly admit President Clinton did a good job of handling Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
-Vice President Kaine's views on abortion are routinely criticized by catholics.
-Republicans are still promising to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. No votes have been taken. No plan has been put forth either, aside from Senator Bernie Sanders.
