Idk what the technical definition is, but usually I think of an EP as something that's around 20 minutes or less, but also like 5 or less tracks. A punk album can be 20 minutes long with 10 songs, and I would never think of that as an EP.

There are plenty of albums under 30 minutes that I love, including a few just under 20. But overall I prefer a nice 40-50 minute album.

Of course, a great album can be any length.

Way to short. Even 45 is too short but acceptable. One hour or more is best, especially if its like 5 or 6 songs. Most of Swanss albums are 2 hours and 8-10 songs which is great.
