Pretty much, from what I saw. It's like he's trying to hate it just to cause butthurt in the fans.

It isn't worth watching. I can't believe he's as bad at the game as it seems - there's at least a shade of him fucking up on purpose just so he can bitch more about how bad the game is.

Yes he is, very hard too. They cut most of the third temple boss fight because he either had no idea Zora had an electric shield or was trolling. I feel like I remember him saying he liked MM as a kid too.

It's gotten to the point where I can't watch game grumps when they're playing a game I've played. I get that it's hard to be entertaining AND play a game well, but holy crap I was tearing my hair out in the first few episodes of their MM playthrough.

No, it's not as hard as he makes it. Most of the problems Arin has are ones he creates. As mentioned above, he has a lot of problems with Gyorg (it's mentioned he spent an hour and a half on it) and repeated problems in all of the Zora areas. Why? Because he (a) never uses the shield and (b) didn't bother to read the message that told you about all of the Zora abilities. Or how he did the wrong thing in Snowhead for fuckin' ages because he didn't bother to read some of the NPC dialogue.

And the reason people get annoyed isn't so much that he's bad at it, it's that he then blames the game for him failing.

Nah, not for MM. It's very obviously very quickly that he doesn't want to play this game. He constantly tries shortcuts and gets frustrated when something takes longer than he wants it to.

Game Grumps are horrible. Arin is such a fucking moron. I don't even like Majora's Mask that much, but watching him play it made me stop watching the show altogether.

It's also worth mentioning that Arin gets suuuuuper pissy if fans try to help him. There's an infamous episode of The Thousand Year Door where Dan reads some comments left by a fan explaining the best badges to equip. Arin rants about how the fan is ruining Dan's "unique experience" and then gets bitchy and sulky for the next four or five episodes.

And the complains about games "telling you how to do everything" and not letting you find out. And then never actually tries to find out and complains he isn't told in terms a four year old can understand.

The most annoying thing is that he can play games decently when he wants. He just goes out of his way to be bad/not try with certain games. And Zelda ones seem to bring it out with a hatred in him.

Plus he seems to pay more attention to the game than Arin does. Lately he seems like he's been giving Arin suggestions when he gets "stuck." What got me was at one point in Ikana, Arin hooked up to a dead tree, then barely looked around and said "well where do I go now" and Dan immediately said "look up."

They have no intelligent insight into the games, the humor is really low-brow stuff and worst of all: they're not even trying to pay attention to what they're doing.

I get that the appeal is their personality but it's insanely frustrating to watch them play videogames when nobody reads anything or knows where to go. It's the same way toddlers play by skipping everything and then bitching about being stuck.

Then again, it's all an act to get views and extend their playthrough to a million episodes per game so it makes sense.

I find them entertaining from time to time, but jesus fuck are they bad at games. Like way beyond what is reasonable. There's not being familiar with the game mechanics and then there's seemingly not being capable of any sort of logical thought or even seeing what's directly in front of you.

First thing I do as a gamer is press every button but so many times I have seen both in person or online people who don't and have no idea what to do.

They are the reason modern games have such overbearing tutorials.

I'm sure there's a sign or something, but Arin doesn't read the signs. He also very obviously knows that there is a shield button because he uses it in places where it is absolutely required (like going up Death Mountain to block the volcano shots), but he just doesn't use it.

I liked Jon Grumps until Dan replaced him and now Jon's episodes are insufferable for me. He fought Arin for the spotlight all the time. Dan doesn't do that.

That's because they have to do a set amount of episodes in a day and he doesn't want to play it. If they pause, that means he has to play it longer.

I like watching them play shitty games, or like VS stuff. Good games just aren't... good for grumping. Their first videos I watched was the "don't know jacks" and I loved it. Short games I suppose, rather than long. And with Arin having a short attention span/"adhd" that makes perfect sense.

Their episode today on Gachimuchi Reloaded (or however the hell it's spelled) wasn't bad.
If the game is bad or relatively easy (like the Katamari games) it tends to be on the better end of the scale.

The OOT playthrough was abysmal too

Part of me hated it because OOT's my favorite game.
Points to Arin though for blatantly trolling fans by keeping the hover boots on for as long as possible, even in sections where there were zero pits to hover over. He knew he was fucking with people.

Actually I did this too, I legit liked them until I couldn't figure out why was overshooting jumps in the fire part of Ganon's tower. I also wear the blue tunic the rest of the game, most people wear the red.

He at least played a good number of them as a kid. Whenever they play older games he's usually the one playing them.
