Can anyone remind me why marriage and having a family of your own is a requirement in life? As far as I know, it's a non stop cycle for father's since they're the ones overburdened by expenses from the wife and kids. How about I don't have a wife and some kids to add onto my already super low expenses and enjoy life the way I want to enjoy it?

Yes, I'm chinese. Also, my parents tell me that they want a wife from me that's also 100% Chinese and not half of something else. They're very traditional and I've already tried a few of those arranged dating crap they've set up but I've come to conclude that being single makes me happy.

Unless they're like actively keeping tabs on your "search". My mom sometimes asks me about it like "Hey you're having kids right?" and I just say yeah or that I'm open to it even though personally I really really doubt it will happen.

Wish I knew Chinese, but I wouldn't know where to start. Even though there's not even an alphabet, and a million characters to memorize, it's cool that each line means something or is a picture or symbol of some concept. But then you gotta pronounce them accurately.

Well I live with my parents so I literally have no choice but for them to nag me about marriage and kids almost everyday. They're traditional asian parents so they dont know how western women are and believe the women here are very loyal but I just have to find the right one.... and thats literally almost impossible considering the average female here talks to a lot of dudes. Besides, I'm happy being single. No stress from having to give up my Sundays just to spend time with my kids demanding and crying about things as well as a wife who will also constantly demand things from me. I'll never have a ME time.

TC you ever thought about moving out of your parents house so you can live your own life instead of being treated like a 30 year old baby?

First learn PinYin, also there aren't a million characters, something like 500 characters is enough to understand 80% of the language.
