Thor I can probably understand but I'm sure enough people knew who Iron Man was. He was in games like MvC, he had a cartoon, I had a bunch of Iron Man toys.

But yeah, in the comics themselves, BP has always been kind of a big deal and a known character in the comicbook community. To people who don't read comics though, he's a pretty low tier character in terms of popularity, but he's definitely known.

How is TLJ a flop? Because another movie did better? By that standard, hundreds of movies were flops, because they grossed less than Titanic which was back in 1997. And by that standard, BP is a massive flop too, since it's at half of that movie's gross.

TLJ was a critical flop if not financial. Yeah, I know it did well with paid critics. Many audience members took issue, though. I saw it in the theater second day. I won't be seeing episode IX or any thing else Star Wars related in the theater again. I'm probably not alone.
