I'm thinking about going to one.

Last night I was in bed thinking it would be cool to go to cafe and play video games on a laptop or something. Just so I can be out of the house for a bit. Then it hit me, Cyber Cafes are a thing!

So I took a look at a few places and I want to go to one since I don't have a gaming PC at the moment. I'd only go once because I'm buying a gaming PC very soon.

One Cyber Cafe I looked at looks very cool and the pricing isn't that bad! I really want to go. The only thing that's stopping me is driving. It's not far but I hate driving and I dislike going out. I need to go out to get some fresh air and what not, but I dislike going out in general. I know Uber is an option but it would be a waste of money since I can just drive there myself.

I wish it was closer. But who knows, I'll probably go this week. It would be a cool place to hang out and possibly meet some friends.

Anyways, have you been to a Cyber Cafe? If so, how was it?

I use to go in the early 2000's when that's where a lot of people went to play cs and whatnot. The last time I went was probably around 2010 before I got internet service setup at my new place. Every one I went to was fine. Chair was comfortable, computer was fast, price was fair. Too bad I had to wear pants.

You should probably unplug for a week.

Alot of malls have playnation live (something like that), which is like a cyber cafe but for Xbox one. I've been to that.

Never been to a real cyber cafe though because I've always had a gaming computer and for awhile now a Gaming laptop (so I can bring it with me).

They were quite popular for awhile and I think they still are in some areas (especially not in the US).

Things seem to have changed alot as everyone just has computers they bring with them now, so most cyber cafes near me, have free wifi, and free use of their computers with any purchase of a drink. No charge per hour to use computers etc. That being said the computers are not gaming computers and offer internet access (internet games like on kongregate etc would work), but no lan play etc for big games.

Looks like big cities still have them, but Olympia where I live does not seem to have a specialized gaming cafe anymore.
