Hypothetically-speaking, if I died and news of my death was posted on PotD or I just stopped posting without any discernible reason, would anybody care or would I just fade into nothingness like other posters of days gone by?

I wouldn't be happy about it, but it would not matter much either. To be honest, I'd probably only shed a tear if my parents or wife died. Anyone else would be varying degrees of "well, this sucks." I love my other family members, mostly, but that's just how I am. I take after my dad for this... The only person he ever seemed upset to lose was his uncle (and this includes his father). Maybe it's genetic? lol

Honestly no. I care about a very small amount of people both in real life and the internet. Then again the same would apply to any poster here on the posting front excluding those on my friends list. News of a posters death would be a bit concerning though but not something I'd dwell on or really find that surprising.

Half right. Ain't no conspiracy guy. I'm that dude whose best friend died, then I fell in love, took my wife's last name, I'm finishing college finally at almost 30, got an internship, and am having a daughter in July. That last bit I didn't share yet. I think I said my wife is pregnant. It's a girl. We're gonna name her Alice after my wife's grandmother who died.

Oh, and I also share a lot if wanted or if not. That's who I am.

Not at much as I used to. I just sort of stopped caring so much and just learned to love the futility of living.

I'm not special. I'm just a guy that spent his teen years doing nothing, his college years doing nothing, and doesn't do a whole lot at work. At best, when I die, my family will be there. All of my friends online live in a different area of the world and I'm not worth a plane ticket to a funeral.

I also spread a web of lies a few years back and got caught when my dumb ass went all melodramatic about a make-believe wife's death.
