At my bigass old high school there was like two or four showers and by the time the bell rang you were still changing out of your uniform. Mathematically impossible for the class to all shower and almost nobody ended up doing so because you don't know if you'll get a spot and have time. Like an inverse tragedy of the commons or something

Some of the guys I had gym class with played hockey together for years and sometimes jokingly did homoerotic things in the shower.

So needless to say, I showered every day.

In high school the passing period was only 4 minutes long and every tardy was a detention.

I think at my school it was 8 mins to change and a 5 minute bell. More than enough time to shower and change.

This. There were showers in the changing room but no one ever used them. I never had it as a final class which is the only time I might actually bother showering

My school was a shed. All we had were shed implements.
