Nobody who uses their weapon for crime is going to turn it in because that weapon makes them way more money than the police are going to give them for it. And like somebody else said. I like the idea of a no-questions asked buy back policy. Followed by a massive increase in penalty for illegally owning a gun. See if we can get some of the unregistered and illegally owned guns off the street, and give their owner a chance to get rid of them before getting hit with the book.

This is definitely a more extreme approach. I don't think we need a complete ban yet. Really the federal government needs to set a min regulation higher than the states with the laxes gun regulation policies.
