Probably the craziest Uber driver I've had was a female driver who legit had a machete in the driver's map book pocket for defense. Yep, showed it to us and everything.

My family were in New York City a few summers back and we were out at the new World Trade Center late at night looking for a taxi when someone drove up asking if we needed an uber. This was before ubers were common so we didn't know what he was talking about. We said no because we didn't want to get potentially murdered.
