Have you ever heard the saying, i'll sleep when i'm dead? Some people just seem like they have too much to do to sleep and consider it kind of a waste of time.

Depends on the day. Over the weekends I get about 4 hours a night because of my work schedule, but during the weekdays I get anywhere between 7-10

I have heard that saying. I disagree with it, seeing as sleep is essential to proper functionality in life. You get more done in 16 hours if you sleep for 8 than you do in 19 hours if you sleep for 5.

I try for about 8 but usually end up getting 7 or less.

7 or so. I try to get as close to 8 as possible prior to workdays as I need the energy. On weekends I'm more likely to stay up later playing games and cut into my sleep.

Though I often go 5-6 because I have a nasty habit of staying up way past the time I should be and I have to get up to go to work.

I have a terrible time the next day if I get a minute less than 6 hours, but I get 6.5-8 almost every weeknight. Then the first night of my weekend that I don't have anything to worry about in the morning, I let myself sleep as long as I can, which usually ends up being about 11 hours.

So on average, I'd say between 7.5 and 8 hours.

I used to have a really strict schedule of 7 hours of sleep a night, but seeing as it takes me pretty long to fall asleep, I just upped that to an hour and now I get around 8 hours of sleep a night. Sleeping IS a tremendous waste of time, but you need it and 8 is the healthy average, and that's most important.

I work overnights so I actually sleep during the afternoon.

Usually I try to go for at least 6, sometimes I manage 8. I've always had trouble sleeping since I was a kid though and lately it's gotten worse so I'm probably doing like 4-5 hours a day on average.
