I thought it had, haha. People thought it had ended because Index 3 took so long to be announced that it seemed impossible and people lost hope. But it was finally announced last October, and will be airing some time in 2018. Also, have you seen A Certain Scientific Railgun? That's a companion series to A Certain Magical Index that focuses more on Mikoto Misaka and fills in some of the holes in Index's story. It greatly expands on the Sisters arc and also adds a bunch of new stories as well. It's trimmed for time a bit, and a few extra details in the story are left out, but the visuals and fight scenes are greatly enhanced in exchange.
