First time I saw it with one group of friends, next time a different group and only went because one offered to buy my ticket so we could all hang together. This was when they rereleased it with extra scenes and I had just started dating my wife and she wanted to see it. It was, of course, a visual spectacle. But looking back on what I remember of it, it was a very Fern Gully type of movie.
