That being said I do think if they have her go on an Asuka run they'd be doing a lot more harm than good-- whereas if they just book her strong but not dominant they'd be doing good regardless of whether she knows what she's doing now-- the goodness probably doesn't match her price tag but eh.

Why the fuck is Carmella still with the case?

She gets ZERO reaction when she does anytbing. This has been an absolute failure on every level, the crowd couldn't possibly care less if they tried, just fucking Kennedy her already and get the case to someone who can use it.

Romans PPV experiences since beating Undertaker:

-loss to Strowman
-doesnt win 5-way
-loss to Strowman
-loss to Brock in 4-way
-beats Cena
-misses PPV due to illness
-beats New Day in opener
-loses Rumble

Carmella is basically Alexa Bliss+ for me. Fairly bad in the ring technically, but good character work and good talker-- basically her superior across the board in every regard except for booking.

So basically if you think Alexa gets reactions then it should be possible to get reactions for Carmella I think. Not her fault Smackdown doesn't put her on TV in any meaningful context.

There is literally no reason to care for hope of Carmella mattering anymore.... so that doesn't even enter the equation. And they already killed the match by having a guy win it anyway.

You would be better off getting the case off of her on to literally anyone else except Tamina (as much as I hate her and she fucking sucks, even Naomi gets a better reaction than Carmella) and have them win the cash in. As long as the cash in is won it's probably still salvageable. If Carmella wins then gets no reaction (an absolute guarantee) then the case is dead.

Taking the case off of someone is exactly how you ruin its value.

Not to mention, the other MITB winner of 2017 already failed his cash-in, and the big draw of MitB is the high success rate of the cash ins, so it would really be best if she won, even if it's a short reign.

They booked it specifically to generate heat for Carmella. And if they really wanted to undo the whole "man interferes in women's MitB match" they wouldn't literally have him interfere AGAIN when they redo it.

They knew exactly what they were doing with that booking. They only redid it for a Smackdown Live ratings boost. But they all along wanted Carmella to win in via Ellsworth interference for the sake of getting her heat since she's a heel.
