Aren't they basically built under the same formula that OoT was? I.E - a grand adventure where Link travels the world and beats dungeons to save the world?

Why is OoT considered so good but nobody says anything about TP or SS?

As far as I know, OoT is praised because it was revolutionary for its time. TP and SS, while good games, are just that, good games.

I never played SS despite owning it since launch

Never had a motionplus remote lol

TP was great but the wolf stuff at the beginning was a bit dragged out and the bosses were way too easy which sucked because most of them were really fun fights that ended too quickly.

But people loved Wind Waker too, and the only thing "new" about it was the cell-shaded graphics. Otherwise it was once again just a basic re-skin of OoT.

unless you've already played TP and want more of it, sure.

It's kind of like the difference between LttP and ALBW. TP just reuses the OoT formula while making several improvements. The worst part of the game are hunting for the drops of light but you only have to do it 3 times for the whole game.

I'm the opposite to most people, really enjoyed SS and TP (SS beating TP), but couldn't stand OoT when it first came out. I did enjoy the 3DS one, though.

I think if you go into them with an open mind as I did, you'll really enjoy SS and TP. They're both wonderful games. It just goes to show how influential a few negative people on the internet can be.

As for Twilight Princess, the Wii version is bad because of the awful waggle. The Gamecube and especially Wii U versions are actually really good.

That was intentional. Apparently, each area on the surface was designed to be more like a dungeon than previous areas.

I liked TP, but feel like I had more minor criticisms of it.

1. The wolf form kinda sucks to play.
2. The game is too brown.
3. The game takes forever to really get underway.
4. The light bug searches were lame.

They aren't as highly regarded because they didn't come first, and that's literally the only reason. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are both fantastic games.
