Congratulations! A genie has appeared to offer you $1,000,000, tax free. The catch is that you must leave the GameFAQs message boards forever.

Terms and Conditions:
1. You must log out of your GameFAQs account(s) immediately. You may not log back into any existing accounts you have and you may not create any new ones with which to post. You will receive the money in your bank account the moment you have logged out of your accounts on all existing devices.

2. You can utilize FAQs and walkthroughs as normal and can enter the boards through Google search results one time per day. However, you may not post topics to ask for help, email FAQ writers to ask questions, nor utilize GameFAQs Answers since those require an account. You must rely on what already exists.

3. You may not lurk on any social boards, including Board 8, even without an account. You may only access boards via searching Google for game help once per day and may not go to the Topic List of a game board for more than five seconds.

4. You may not use any instant messengers (including Discord and Facebook) to contact other users to discuss events on the board. You may, however, continue friendships (including over Facebook and Discord chats that aren't the Board 8 main one) as long as GameFAQs is not brought up in discussion. This means you cannot ask for another user's contact info, so what you've got is what you've got. You must effectively free yourself from the existence of this place.

5. If at any point you log back into your account for any reason or willingly ask for information about the boards, you are to pay the $1,000,000 back in six months. If you fail to do this, you will be stripped of all your possessions except the clothes on your back, $5,000, and whatever personal items you can fit into two suitcases ($5000 maximum value).

Do you accept these terms?

I am aware that it is a tenth of the other topic, but I had a feeling that if it was $10,000,000, most people would say yes and that they could just go to a different site for that price. Is one million dollars enough for you to start over and leave this place, including interacting with your friends here, behind? Keep in mind that if you're buying a house, that money's going to go a lot quicker than you'd expect.

not faqs, but the gamefaqs boards are probably my number 1 go to place for information, particularly if the game is somewhat new

Wikis generally give quick information though, or very general info I've found. I like opening a GameFAQS guide and finding 3 ideal ways to level up depending on how you want to spec your character, for instance.

Although it does depend on the age of the game a bit. Older games GameFAQS guides easily rule the roost. For modern games it's probably harder to find a nice and detailed guide so you would probably be better off following a guide then.

Ontopic: yes, absolutely. I don't really have any friends here but I like jumping in occasionally but for 1m? Easy choice.
