I played it recently, very lame imo. Mario & Luigi felt like a Looney Tunes inspired comedy with elements of adventure. I loved the mechanic of being able to jump to avoid attacks, but I hated the game's treatment of Bowser and Luigi. I like Mario more when he's less cartoonish. Don't get me wrong, Super Mario World is my favorite Mario game and it has the same color scheme as My Little Pony. But in a general sense, I prefer a more serious Bowser, a less cowardly Luigi, and a more adventuresome world. I think Super Mario RPG captured that better. Got it on release and took it with me on a hunting trip, easily one of the most enjoyable times I've had playing through something, plan on eventually getting the port.
