Wow, the Fast series is hard to watch now. They are very damn cringey and predictable. I know it's supposed to be mindless action, but wow, it's hard to watch these movies. I don't get why they're so successful when they have a bad story, unlikeable characters (besides a few), and boring action sequences (besides a few like any Jason Statham scenes; he's awesome in anything he's in).

Former bad guys are now good guys and part of the team. I actually missed some details watching the movie because I had family talking really loud. But I read Cipher manipulated the Shaw brothers, blah blah blah. Just weird how the team seems cool with Deckard hanging around with them.

Dom naming his baby Brian doesn't make sense within the continuity of the movies because Paul Walker's character didn't die. Yet they make it look like Brian died too. It's a self-aware thing that doesn't work.

One thing I didn't get what what Cipher showed Dom on the phone to convince him to join her team. It was the baby right? I thought the reveal was gonna be Brian getting captured and they end up killing him off-screen or something.

Some of the things that happen in the movie are so stupid. Like Dom popping up his car hood and sneaking out to talk to Shaw Bros. Mom. Cipher could've just threatened him to get within the camera's view point or they kill his son (there's no proof it's his son btw). But nope, Cipher and co. had to do it the dumb way and monitor him on camera.

The main cast is so protected it's not even funny. I knew Deckard didn't get killed at all. It was so obvious. Dom is fucking unlikeable because he's too op; he's basically the male Mary Sue (something something Stu). Some characters were fucking useless like Roman (I liked him in 2 Fast 2 Furious) and the hacker girl. The main cast always wins no matter what. That makes it hard to watch. You already know they're going to win. It never looks like they're going to lose.

Anyways, that's about it. I wrote more than I should have. Oh and I was a big fan of the series early on but then it just became over the top and lame (then again, they're not amazing movies or anything, but they were enjoyable as action adventure movies). My favorite Fast movie is still Tokyo Drift. Such an underrated movie.

Everybody in the theater loved it. I was like.. really everybody? Do I have to be that guy?

I heard they're bringing her back for Fast 9 though. I like her and she deserves to be in more movies.

I haven't seen the movie, but naming your baby after somebody doesn't require them to be dead.
