Why did you move into a 3 bedroom apartment though? If it's just you two and a couple pets, a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom would've been fine and cheaper.

I work 40-50 hours a week and still make breakfast every morning, dinner in the evening, pack our lunches, clean litter boxes for 2 cats, do laundry and put it away, dishes, and clean a 4 bedroom house regularly.

I really dont understand TCs line of thinking in that somehow his gf having no job and providing 0 income in exchange for some housework is a good thing.

1. We have 3 cats and 2 huskies
2. For example right now I leave home at 6am and get home at 8pm. Then it's academy home work until midnight. There's literally no time for me to do anything.

I would not want to leave my dogs alone for 12 hours or so. They would be miserable

I recently looked back at some of my expenses and realized that I spent more than $1,500 on groceries/food/drinking each of the past two months. Have you figured out how much you are spending on food/fun? That can be a drain on the account.

I didn't read all the posts ITT so this may have been suggested, but ditch the cable. Stick with just internet and you should be able to cut that bill in half. Idk what's available in Nevada, but I've got $50/mo (and that's with an additional $10/mo because I decided to rent the modem) for a speed that has never caused me problems (streaming and gaming simultaneously with no problem).

I don't really look at it or count but it is pretty set it stone. I've bought alcohol once in the last 3 months which was a 6 pack of Miller lite which is still sitting there

We have one date night at a restaurant once a week at around 25-35 bucks

We used to go to the strip and gamble but we got bored of that

The cable probably won't be ditched. She loves watching the tv. Plus I like watching shit on here. And with the bundle it's only like 15 dollars more a month

You're telling me the cable is $15/mo? I find that to be literally impossible in today's market.

It's a bundling thing most companies are doing now. They want you to be bundled and it's almost more expensive to not be bundled

She could still work part time, or even remotely. If shes good with dogs, she could start a dog walking business. If shes crafty, she can sell shit on Etsy. She can buy and sell crap off eBay.

I dunno. I feel like there are so many options if you think hard enough, but you seem comfortable with how things are.

it's cause they can show you a bunch of ads in cable, basically subsidizes it
especially when there's no competition so they can jack up the prices for internet

I'm surprised she's fine with it. If the relationship ends, she's the one that ends up being out in a bad spot with lack of experience/money for however long the relationship lasted.
