I think that was obvious when only the RWBY characters were new and everybody else were just ripped from their home games, not to mention the playstyle is very very casual and there's no english dub except for RWBY characters and even then, only for their battle grunts, story mode will be all japanese with subs.

It's the same with Dragonball Fighterz,a 3 on 3 game and it's roster is only 23 characters, not to mention the playstyle also leans towards casualness, that's a sin for the Fighting game community, and they keep hyping the story mode and the new Android 21 character saying that if she's popular enough they'll introduce her into the main series, which is code for "buy this game and maybe you'll see hot android chick more".

Yeah this is absolutely unacceptable. I'm shocked that ASW has the gall to announce 20 DLC characters before the game even comes out, and only 20 characters in the base game.

I won't be bothering with this until there's a complete version and it's on sale.

Game is most likely gonna be DOA like MvCi. The good will of the NA community was already destroyed with CF omitting the dub, so this will probably be the nail in the coffin

Lack of dub didn't result in much of a loss, actually. Getting the game out earlier helped CF's life so much more than delaying it half a year just for a dub.

The people who actually played the game at a serious level imported the JP version, so its weird that you think that the lack of the dub didn't hurt the game. Especially when the series has a sizable casual following who would have just played it for a little and dropped it anyway, making the earlier release irrelevant

Yikes.

I was incredibly hyped for this game, but this totally killed off my interest in it. The base roster is dire and I don't really feel like shelling out a ton to make it better.

It's a shame, I like BB and loooved P4A, but I don't think I'm going to get this, at least until it's cheap for a complete edition.

Getting the game out in time with the Japanese release means the importers aren't left to themselves, get bored of the same 5 people, and then leave by the time the North American release is out

Games tend to last longer the more people there are at the beginning. Delaying it SIX months only kills the game faster.

But I'm sure a dub will do wonders to fix that better than... actually releasing the fucking game.

You overestimate how many importers make up the hardcore crowd. I once imported it, only to see barely anyone else did. Then when it was released in North America... suddenly there were people to play against.

Central Fiction benefit more from better release timing than a dub that only 5 people care about.

I don't know why you keep using the hyperbole that only 5 people cared about the dub.

And most of those people don't play the game anymore, because anime fighters don't retain players which leads us back to the initial contention that delaying the game would have done literally nothing to the life of the community. The same people at the forefront of the NA community are the same people who have been playing at a serious level over the course of the series

I was quite excited for this until hearing about the simplified combat and no different system grooves like CVS had but I was at least willing to give this a try.

This DLC is a complete joke

Unless the game + all DLC comes to <40 I won't be touching this one
