I am one of us even though I don't like to admit it. Because I hate us, and I feel bad for us. I feel like we were coddled to the point where a lot of these people are manchilds. This ultra sensitive, everything is equal, no personal responsibility everything is someone else's fault stuff is so ridiculous. We have expensive, stupid degrees that lead to dead end jobs. We are staying in mommy and daddys home until we are almost 30. On their insurance 26. Etc, it goes on

Millennials can generally be defined as being coffee obsessed, unable to budget and lack of setting themselves up to be successful in the future

I'm sure they have their own issues that someone from their generation, who experienced it, can decode more than I can. So its hard to be completely objective about it, you know?

But yea I'd say we are much worse. We can't get jobs. We don't move out of the house. We have huge debt. Those are honestly pretty big issues that the last generation really wasn't experiencing. That's without going into any of our bizarre loony tunes stuff we have going on, like the million genders thing

I kind of don't blame the guy. I worked a job since I was 15, put myself through college and made it into medical school all on my own (first generation in my family to go to college, let alone go for a doctorate. From a poor background). I moved out at 18 and have lived on my own for a decade with no issues.

So when you make generalizations that everyone is some super sensitive failure, it's kind of out of touch. I'm just as a millennial as anyone else and it's not like I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth either.

Im a middle of the road millennial so its pretty awesome. I have family members a few years older than me who identify as millennial too. I like our generation. I think a lot of the hate is tied into envy over not having been able to grow up with the internet and widespread computer accessibility. Mainly glad that our generation doesnt just bow down to previous generations which I think has been a thing for a while. I think thats mainly linked to having access to the internet from an early age.

Really, there have been lazy, entitled, wimpy people of every generation. Most people just fall for the typical "kids these days" rhetoric old people shill out. The same people who raised the new generation that they bitch about. Guess that "personal responsibility" stuff doesn't count there.

Also, any retail or other person who works with the public will tell you that older people act the most entitled of all.

"Millennial" is a slur that is used to attack people of an age group that is economically disadvantaged. There are no "millennials", there is no "avocado toast", and every one of the alleged antics is entirely fictionalized in order for shitty news rags to get clicks.

Here's a game. Next time you read an article on the subject, replace "Millennial" with "Jew", and see how long it takes you to think "This sounds like a nazi tabloid".

Posts like this. I mean, yea, I think it's really dishonest to blanket statement "there's nothing wrong with it" in regards to dependency on parents when you're in your late 20s and early 30s

And yea there really isn't anything overrated about providing a good living for your family, lol. These sort of statements, and the complacency with mediocrity, is unfortunately not uncommon rhetoric among the millennials

It came off as sensitive to me because I don't think it's honest to argue against the stigma that the current 18-30 generation isn't more touchy than previous generations. As a whole, we are, and that's how we are being perceived. That doesn't mean that every single one of us are. It's silly to make the argument "I'm not like that so you're wrong". Along with being irrelevant, it comes off a little defensive and sensitive

I agree about using anecdotal evidence is dishonest, but that still doesn't make his post anymore sensitive than yours. And while you're right about our generation being more "touchy" than let's say the Gen X, but how is our generation more touchy compared to Baby Boomers or Traditionalists that were much more conservative when it came to morality and pro-censorship?

Why do you think my post is sensitive? My intention is to call out and blast the super sensitivity, lol

As I already mentioned, I think people from those generations would know more than I would and I don't want to mispeak. Every generation has it's issues, right? But I'm not seeing the equating to conservatism and sensitivity that you're mentioning. I don't see the issue with being conservative or liberal. I have a problem with the "new liberals", our generation. The participation trophy, you're a racist for saying that, me me me me attitude that seems to love socialism and communism
